Simplication of charitable giving (Gift Aid)


The meaning of a qualifying donation is extended to include an intermediary representing the individual.  An intermediary is defined as a person authorised:

  • by the individual to give a Gift Aid declaration on behalf of that individual to the charity;
  • by a charity to receive a Gift Aid declaration on behalf of that charity; or
  • to perform both the roles above.
